Privacy Policy
1. Purpose
1.1. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you, in accordance with the applicable General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), about the conditions for the processing of your personal data by Equanimity training & coaching (hereinafter referred to as “Equanimity”, “we”, or “us”).
1.2. If for any reason you do not agree with our privacy policy or have other questions, you can contact us via boris@equanimity.nu.
1.3 We take the protection of your data seriously and take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact us via boris@equanimity.nu.
2. What personal data do we store?
2.1. We store your personal data when you perform the following actions on our website:
- Complete and submit the registration form for a training session. This concerns the selected training, chosen price level, first name, last name, email address, telephone number, street and house number, postal code, city, how you found Equanimity, and any message.
- Complete the registration form for the email alert. This concerns your email address.
- Complete the order form for the Feelings and Needs Cards. This concerns the order, company name, first name, last name, email address, street and house number, postal code, city, and any delivery address if different from the billing address.
2.2. For these purposes, we use a number of third-party applications, namely MailChimp, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
3. Who are the recipients?
3.1. The personal data we process is not shared with third parties.
3.2. Your data will never be sold to or used for the commercial purposes of third parties.
4. What do we use your personal data for?
4.1. We use your personal data for the purpose for which you shared it with us:
- To maintain administration of training registrations
- To keep you informed of new training sessions and blog posts
- To process your order for Feelings and Needs Cards
4.2. We may also use your email address to inform you about new services or products from Equanimity. If you do not wish to receive information about new services or products, you can easily indicate this by clicking “unsubscribe” in the email received.
5. How long is your personal data stored?
5.1. We do not store your personal data longer than necessary. The retention period of your personal data can be determined per data processing purpose based on the following criteria:
- Data stored for a specific purpose is kept for as long as necessary for the purpose of processing the data, i.e., the duration of the contract with you, the legally required duration, or during the commercial relationship with you;
- Your personal data is then archived for use in the event of a legal proceeding or dispute during the period until the statute of limitations applicable to the related purpose expires;
- Subsequently, the data is anonymized or deleted.
6. How do we use cookies on this site?
6.1. ‘Cookies’ are small files containing information that are sent to your device and stored on the hard drive, so that our website will recognize you when you visit.
6.2. When you visit our website, we may, provided we have your consent, use cookies to collect data about the duration of page visits on our website and information about page interaction.
6.3. Google Analytics: cookies from the American company Google are placed on this website as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to obtain reports on how the website is used and to measure quality and effectiveness. We use Google Analytics in the manner prescribed by the Dutch Data Protection Authority to fall under the exception in the cookie law, which means we do not require your prior consent for the use of Google Analytics.
7. What are your rights and how can you exercise them?
7.1. In accordance with the applicable General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to information and access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restriction of processing, the right to obtain a copy of your personal data for your own purposes or to provide it to a provider of your choice (right to data portability), and the right to object to the processing of your personal data when it is processed for direct marketing purposes or when the processing is based on a legitimate interest.
7.2. You can also withdraw your consent at any time if the processing is based on your consent. All these rights apply to the extent permitted under the applicable General Data Protection Regulation.

7.4. You can also exercise your right to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority (the Dutch Data Protection Authority) by sending your claim to: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, Bezuidenhoutseweg 30, 2594 AV The Hague.
